With new laws in place in some states and being introduced across Australia, children need to be in an appropriate car restraint to the age of 7 years old.

From 9 November 2009, children will need to use a child restraint or booster seat until their seventh birthday.  The types of approved restraints or booster seats won't change, but children will need to use them for longer.  The changes mean that:

Children aged between four to under seven years must use an approved, properly fastened and adjusted, forward facing child restraint with an in-build harness OR an approved booster seat which is properly positioned and fastened

Our professionally trained restraint fitters can install your own child or hired car restraint, we ensure that you understand how your child restraint works and provide information on how to maintain the equipment – explaining the manufacturers instructions

We will demonstrate the following features

·      Changing restraint belts heights

·      Proper fitment – things to check

·      Daily and inspection checklists

·      Supply and install accessories such as extension straps (for hatchbacks and some station wagons) and sash locating straps (to hold the seat belt away from the child’s neck).

·      Suitable positioning of restraints particularly in conjugation with other child car restraints
